Thursday, 1 April 2021, 4 a.m. – Breaking News: three slain bodies have been found lying in the crypt of super rich enterpreneurs Cecilia and Nero Capulet. One is their daughter Julia Capulet; the other her fiancé, Paris of Escalus; the third is Romeo Montague, son of local health industrials Lena and Raffaele Montague, who have been involved in year long litigations with the Capulet family. In the past three days alone, Verona has been shaken by several murders and an old-fashioned banishment, and the city’s residents are at a loss for explanations. Sophia Abbracciavento, new chief of police, has a large task ahead: after a long era ruled by nepotism, street violence and hypercapitalistic structures under mayor Prince Rocco of Escalus, the police officers at the criminal investiations department are not exactly on top of their game. Exhibit by exhibit and lesson after lesson Sophia makes her way through the complicated case. The testimonials of the bereaved are spotty and incongruent. Not until a farewell video on Julia’s cell phone and Romeo’s letter to his father are found do things start making sense – and the lead takes an unexptected twist… More information at:
